MAUN
Set on the banks of the beautiful Thamalakane River in northern Botswana, Maun is the third-largest town in this spectacularly scenic Southern African country. Maun is the starting point for most expeditions into the Okavango Delta and as a result, has developed into a bustling metropolis that is considered Botswana’s tourism capital. Area attractions include a renowned riverboat that offers cruises up and down the Thamalakane River; the forest groves of the Maun Game Reserve; and Moremi Game Reserve, home to hippos, lions and rhinos. Maun also serves as the jumping-off point for many safaris and air charters as well as offering private 4x4 rentals. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Nhabe Museum exhibiting the local history, art and culture of the Ngamiland region.

Day 2: Makgadikgadi Pans – (B, L/P, D)
Drive from Maun onto the area of the Makgadikgadi Pans, embark on the nature walk upon arrival to experience the beauty of the towering Baobabs.
PLANET BAOBAB BUSHWALK
Planet Baobab combines style with comfort while remaining true to its African inspiration. Accommodation provides different options as painted Kalanga Huts, The Africantastic ‘shebeen’ style central mess features a tasty bar menu, and when it heats up, cool off in the biggest coolest pool in the Kalahari.
Planet Baobab Bushwalk Do the baobab bushwalk and learn all about the largest succulents on earth.
Activities on offer all year round include: guided bush walks; traditional cattle post and village visits; incredibly friendly habituated meerkats; expeditions to Nxai Pan.
During the dry season (25th April to 31st October) activities include quad biking on the saltpans; a sleep out under the magnificent Makgadikgadi night sky. During the wet season (1st November to 24th April) visitors can witness the spectacular zebra and wildebeest migration experience.

Day 3: Makgadikgadi Pans – Nxai Pan NP – (B, L/P, D)
Full day game drive in Nxai Pan National Park known for its Lunar landscape that attacks desert herbivores.
NXAI PAN
Nxai Pan where you will experience great game viewing and Baines Baobabs Nxai Pan is one of the Makgadikgadi Pan Salt flats in the north eastern part of Botswana. The pan at Baines Baobabs which is a National Monument is dry most of the year but during the rainy season from December to March it is transformed into massive sheets of water with a myriad of birds. Once the rains have started the zebra, gemsbok and elephant migrates to the area. Nxai Pan becomes a garden of Eden during it’s rainy months with lion, giraffe, impala, kudu, springbok and numerous smaller creatures. The waterhole is in an area that consists of a grassy plain with short umbrellathorn trees. There are also mopane woodland areas where most of the wildlife can be found on a Nxai Pan safari in Botswana.

Day 4: Greater Moremi, Botswana – (B, L/P, D)
Drive to the greater Moremi area, with evening games drive to private concession.
MOREMI GAME RESERVE
Moremi Game Reserve is just under 5,000 square kilometers, covering much of the eastern side of the Okavango Delta and combining permanent water with drier areas, which create some startling and unexpected contrasts. Some prominent geographical features of the Reserve are Chiefs Island and the Moremi Tongue. In the Moremi Reserve one can experience excellent views of savannah game as well as bird-watching on the lagoons. There are also thickly wooded areas, which are home to the Cape wild dog and leopard. To the northeast lies the Chobe National Park which borders the Moremi Game Reserve. Only about 30% of the reserve is mainland, with the bulk being within the Okavango Delta itself.

MOREMI GAME RESERVE
Moremi Game Reserve Its habitats are surprisingly diverse, combining mopane woodland and acacia forests, floodplains and lagoons. It is home to nearly 500 species of bird (from water birds to forest dwellers), And a vast array of other species of wildlife including lion, leopard, African bush elephant, African buffalo, black rhinoceros, hippopotamus, giraffe, plains zebra, blue wildebeest, cheetah, spotted hyena, black-backed jackal, common warthog, impala, and lechwe. The Moremi area is considered a significant habitat for African wild dog and the population there have been the subject of a project run in the area since 1989; thus this species is often seen wearing collars emplaced by researchers.

Day 6: Kasane, Chobe – (B, L/P, D)
Soon after breakfast we depart Botswana Light aircraft flight to Kasane
Upon arrival we check in Lodge.
Afternoon game viewing by boat cruise on the Chobe River watching out for the hippos and crocodiles as well as the elephants, giraffes and impala that come to the water’s edge to drink.
KASANE
Tucked away in the northeastern corner of Botswana, on the banks of the famous Chobe River, the scenic little town of Kasane rests on the doorstep of the spectacular Chobe National Park. There are no boundary fences separating the village from the park and game such as elephant and hippo are often spotted roaming around the town. If on the lookout for elusive game, pay a visit to the Sedudu Valley Road, where large dead trees provide temporary homes for leopards. Within Kasane, an ancient baobab tree stands on display, once serving as a local prison. Visitors can look forward to a multitude of activities including enjoying a game drive through the park, taking a sunset cruise down the Chobe River, visiting a local village, or jumping on a day trip to the breathtaking Victoria Falls.

Day 7 & 8: Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe – (B, L/P, D)
In the morning, we transferred to Hwange National Parks, Zimbabwe (Visa required). On the way stop at the painted Dogs Conservation Centre to learn more about wild dogs.
Leisure or optional game drive on private concession bordering the national park.
HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
Located in western Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park (formerly Wankie Game Reserve) is the largest natural reserve in the country and is famous for its rich diversity of wildlife. Home to one of the biggest elephant populations in the world, as well as around 100 mammal species, the park is a wonderland for animal lovers. Several protected animals inhabit the awe-inspiring open landscapes, including the endangered wild dog, critically endangered black rhino, and rare roan and sable - along with lion, cheetah, and around 500 bird species.
Adventurers can look forward to guided bush hikes, game drives, and horse riding safaris, all of which offer excellent photographic opportunities. Hwange boasts several unique natural features, most notably the natural seeps such as Nehimba and Shakwanki animals dig for water.

HWANGE GAME DRIVES
Hwange ranks among the top national parks in Africa in terms of size, diversity and quantity of game. Big game includes lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo as well as some of Africa’s largest elephant herds. In the expert hands of our guides, you’ll find yourself heading out through the acacia-fringed grassy vleis and through the teak forests in search of Hwange’s Big Five.
Game drives are the best way to see the variety of wildlife and scenery of the park and they almost always yield unexpected sightings. Often, sitting quietly and watching an impala ram guard his harem against marauding bachelors can be just as fascinating as coming across a pride of lions lazing under the broad canopy of an acacia tree

Day 10: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) – (B)
In the morning transferred to Victoria Falls,
Late afternoon you will be picked up for sunset cruise along the Might Zambezi River. Clients may have the opportunity to see a variety of game; including hippo, crocodile, and elephant as well as enjoying the many different bird species.
VICTORIA FALLS (ZIMBABWE)
Victoria Falls is one of the world’s most impressive waterfalls. It is set on the magnificent Zambezi River which creates the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. These spectacular falls can be easily visited and viewed from the Zimbabwean side. Considered to be the world’s widest waterfalls, Victoria Falls measures an impressive 1708 meters in width. The small town of Victoria Falls, which lies adjacent to the waterfalls, serves as a great base from which to explore the many attractions this area of Zimbabwe has to offer. The surrounding area provides a wide range of adrenalin-filled activities for adventure lovers. Visitors can look forward to an array of wonderful activities including: scenic flights, micro lighting, white water rafting, bungee jumping, kayaking, and once-in-a-lifetime expeditions into the incredible Chobe National Park.
ZAMBEZI RIVER SUNSET CRUISE
Wild Horizons Zambezi Sunset Cruise is a superb way for guests to relax and enjoy the spectacular beauty of the Zambezi River. Guests have the opportunity to see a variety of game including hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and many different bird species. The cruise is a very popular activity with great opportunities for extraordinary pictures against the African sunset.

Spend the day at leisure with various optional activities to experience the majesty of the Vic Falls.

Please read carefully what is included and what is not. There are optional extras for those that want to do it.
Technically the only extra you need to budget for are on the days when lunches & dinners are not provided. The meal budget would be the same as what you would spend for a meal in South Africa. I don’t know what you would eat, but I would say budget maybe USD15 to USD30 a meal. If you want to grab a quick meal for example it should be much less. If you like more luxury dining, it will obviously be more.
Porter Service: our rates including 1 piece no over 23kgs luggage per person on every stop points for upload and drop down from tour transport in the journey. For example pick up / drop off at airport, tour group a person who conveys he/she luggage to pick up point meet driver get on the luggage, and drop off area get off the luggage when tour finish. Get on/off luggage at load down point when check in/out accommodations.
Safety first: All the camps are well chosen for safety reason and they are all enclosed. Please make sure that you act responsibly.
As for Insurance, please ask your medical aid if they cover you for Southern Africa. If you want to take out insurance, please ask and we could recommend insurance.
Payment and Deposit: I am going to ask for a non-refundable deposit of 30-40% to secure your sport, with the balance due in 30 days before Tours Departures. We are all in the industry and we understand how it works.
Visas: If you do not have a SA passport, please check on the visas required or not for the countries that we are travelling through.
Very importantly I know that I am putting a lot of stress on the tourist guide/escorts and driver to make all of this possible. So after the trip please each person put a TIPS in an envelope that you will give to the tourist guide/escort and driver at the end of this tour.
